The Community Development program provides support for community members wanting to develop opportunities and programs in the Hamilton Rd. Community.  We provide administration, consultation, program coordination, volunteer recruitment support, fund and resource development, and supervision services.  Our Community Development team works closely with the Hamilton Road Community Association, The Hamilton Road Business Association and other groups who contribute to the vitality of the Hamilton Rd. Community.  Current projects include:  Walking Wednesdays, Community Conversations, a Community Mural project and a single parenting group.

Community Support Services

The support programs and services at Crouch assist community members to find support and access to help. We operate with a holistic approach, building on each person's capabilities, walking along side during challenges, and always building connections and relationships between and with individuals and their community.  Our Community Support Services include an Emergency Food cupboard and monthly Community Food Depot, Thursday Men's Lunch, Clothing and Health Vouchers, referrals to mental health, addiction, housing and income support services and assistance with accessing government support programs.

The Youth program runs after school programs throughout the week (including daily Annex and Aberdeen programs, Sign Language Club, Lego Club) as well as Summer Splash program and gardening projects. The focus of the programs is to improve the physical activity, health, wellness, and nutrition of children and youth in our community. In addition, homework help, literacy and numeracy skills, arts and crafts, and cultural activities are integral parts of programming.

Early Years PROgram

The purpose of the drop-in Early Years program is to provide information, resources, and education in support of parents and caregivers for young children. We provide enrichment experience for young children (ages 0-6 yrs) with an integrated, age appropriate curriculum.

The purpose of the Hamilton Road Area Food Prosperity Initiative is to build the capacity of our neighbourhood to develop local and sustainable food systems. The Soul Food Collective provides hands-on learning of gardening, healthy eating, food budgeting and preparation of healthy, affordable meals.  We offer a Good Food Box program and healthy snacks as well as "Let's Get Cooking" cooking and nutrition instruction in our After School and Summer Splash programs.
